Healthcare Professions Panel: Physical Therapy vs. Occupational Therapy
Does a career in rehabilitation interest you? Not sure whether to take a physical
therapy track or an occupational therapy track? Join us on Tuesday, April 23rd from 6-7 P.M. via Zoom as we will hear from panelists in these professions. Dr. Mack Phillips, DPT, is a
UGA Alum and completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Augusta University.
Dr. Charles Shadle, PPOTD, OTR/L is an Associate Professor and Site Coordinator in
the School of Occupational Therapy at Brenau University. He has been an OT for over
25 years. We will be hearing from them about their education, everyday duties, and
experiences that led them to their current professions.

Admitted Students Panel

out more about the application process and what happens once you are admitted to law
school. There will be time for Q&A. This event is ideal for anyone about to apply
to law school or those who are interested in applying in the future. It will be held

PPAO Book Dawgs Club
Are you taking the MCAT in the next application cycle? Have you heard how difficult
the CARS section is? Want to know what tactics to use to improve your score? The Pre-
Professional Advising Office plans to start a book club this summer/fall to help students
prepare for the CARS section. AAMC states that "this section is unlike the other sections
of the exam because it does not require specific content knowledge. How do you prepare
and practice?" Exam takers should immerse themselves in various topics from different
types of literature.
Book Dawgs will meet via Zoom on Tuesday, April 30th, at 7:30 PM. This initial meeting will allow participants to help choose the book they will read
for the fall meeting. You will also meet some of your peers who may be taking the
MCAT in late 2024 and early 2025. Hope to see you there!

Mock Interviews & MMIs
The Pre-Professional Advising Office (PPAO) and the Career Center will continue to
offer Mock Interviews and Mock MMIs for students who have been invited to interview
at a health professional school. The PPAO will conduct the mock MMIs, and the Career
Center will conduct the mock interviews. If you have been invited to interview with
