Meet Our Staff
The staff of the Pre-Health Advising Office are here to provide UGA students and alumni with the information and support necessary to successfully apply to professional programs in the healthcare field.
Caroline Piotrowski, M.A.
Caroline Piotrowski joined the Pre-Health Advising Office in November 2016. She is currently serving as the Pre-Professional Coordinator while also working with pre-medical students at all levels — freshman to alumni — helping guide them through the maze of admissions requirements and the application process. Prior to joining our office, she was the departmental advisor for Microbiology and worked primarily with junior and senior students many of whom were interested in pursuing careers in healthcare.
Caroline graduated from the University of Georgia with an A.B. in Japanese Language & Literature and an M.A. in Religion focusing on Pure Land Buddhism.
Anna Williams, M.A.T.
Anna Williams joined the Pre-Health Advising Office in January 2018. She works with Allied Health students (pre-physician assistant, pre-occupational therapy, and pre-physical therapy), helping guide them their path to professional school. Prior to joining this office, Anna served as the academic advisor for students majoring in Exercise and Sport Science and Athletic Training here at UGA for two years. While in this position she assisted many kinesiology students toward their goals of pursing allied health professions, and now as a part of the Pre-Health Office, Anna looks forward to working with even more UGA students who hope to pursue a career in the allied health professions.
Born and raised in the Athens area, Anna received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Georgia. Anna was also a part of the Athletic Training program at UGA, and worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) while obtaining her Master's degree from Columbus State University. Upon completion of this degree, Anna moved to Albany, Georgia where she worked as a Health and PE teacher for four years. Anna was excited to return to Athens in 2015 to work with students at UGA to help them achieve their academic and career goals.
Amanda Spohn, M.Ed.
Amanda Spohn joined the Pre-Health Advising Office in December 2016. She works with the pre-dental and pre-optometry students — helping guide them through the process for gaining admission into dental and optometry school. Prior to joining our office, she was the departmental advisor for the Lamar Dodd School of Art and worked primarily with sophomore, junior and senior Art and Art History students.
Amanda graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in Political Science and earned her M.Ed. at Ashland University.
Jabari Robinson, M.Ed.
Jabari Robinson joined the Pre-Health Advising Office in October 2017. He works with pre-medical students — primarily freshman and sophomore - helping guide them through the maze of admissions requirements and the application process. Prior to joining our office, he was a graduate assistant for orientation programs at Auburn University, working with both freshman and transfer student populations.
Jabari graduated from Winthrop University with a B.S. in Biology and earned his M.Ed. at Auburn University.
Mandy Skinner, M.A.E.
Mandy Skinner joined the Pre-Health Advising Office in October 2017. She is currently serving Allied Health students (pre-nursing, pre-physical therapy and pre-physician’s assistant), helping guide them through the process of application to their specific program(s). Prior to joining the Pre-Health Advising Office, Mandy worked at Western Kentucky University for 10 years, helping students to apply to health programs and advising them on healthcare career paths.
Mandy graduated from Western Kentucky University with a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management and a M.A.E. in Student Affairs in Higher Education.
Pamela Tolbert, B.B.A.
Pamela Tolbert serves as Business Manager for both the Pre-Law Advising and Pre-Health Advising Office. As the Business Manager, she serves as the office manager and administrative specialist for both programs. In this role she manages the operations of the office and provides administrative support to the program directors, including coordinating and assisting with programming and events. She supports the advising staff by scheduling student advising appointments and helps to address inquiries concerning student files, application timelines and procedures for law, medical, dental, and optometry schools. She manages the coordination of compiling, preparing, and submission of the faculty letter of evaluation/recommendation packets for the Pre-Health Advising Office and serves as the website and social media administrator for the Pre-Law Advising Program.
Ms. Tolbert graduated from Georgia College and State University with a BBA degree in management of information systems.
